Hello, thanks for stopping by. We are Daniel and Irina, the duo behind the Trius + aiM brand. Daniel is a trained Chef with a big happy personality and Irina is a numbers girl with a background in accounting and a flair for event styling. We have always enjoyed hosting parties together and decided to share our unique perspective on food, dining, entertaining, and family gathering with the launch of Trius + aiM Bistro - Events - Catering.
Trius + aiM is a true reflection of us, anchored in our values and inspired by our kids. Our son Demetrius (aka Trius) + our daughters Mia and Aimee (aiM). Demetrius is a meaningful name with an earthy connection. It originates from the Greek goddess of harvest and means “one who loves the earth”. We chose the word 'aim', (which is Mia’s name backwards and part of Aimee’s name), to remind us to focus on our dreams and keep aiming for greatness.
The hippo is a unique symbol of our brand. This vast animal demonstrates big potential, big growth, and big power. It reminds us of our birthright to greatness. The hippo's connection with the water symbolizes emotion, dreams, intuition, and creativity. We encourage you to take the journey with us.

Chef Daniel Ansu
Passionate. Authentic. Creative. Talented. Kind, Chef Daniel Ansu has over 15 years experience in some of Toronto’s and Ottawa’s high-end restaurants. Originally from Ghana, Africa, he enjoys combining bold flavours from around the world to create a unique menu. Most importantly, Chef Daniel is a proud father of three, who inspired the Trius + aiM endeavour.

We wanted to extend the biggest amount of thanks we could over to you and your team. We had a fabulous time celebrating Ryan’s big day. The event was very organized and we know that there had to be a lot of people behind the scenes to make it all happen. We got a lot of great feedback on the food and the venue as a welcoming space, and to some, were surprised as to how many people it could actually fit. We loved that the stage was a comfy space for the many kids! There are so many positive things to say but in a nutshell, we acknowledge the amount of heart that went into this event and we appreciate that immensely. We were happy to be your first event and will not hesitate to recommend you to the rest of our friends and family!!!

Surprise birthday party at Trius + aiM
Chef Daniel and Irina, I just wanted to extend to you our deepest gratitude to you and the Trius and aiM staff for the absolutely incredible job you did for Mom's 75th birthday last week. The venue was immaculate and the food was so far above and beyond what we expected. You've got fans in us for life! Our guests are still raving about the quality and quantity of the menu (charcuterie, chips/dip, sliders, arancini fritters and pizza) and that speaks volumes to us. Making sure everyone was properly fed was my top goal and you exceeded that by leaps and bounds. You will be seeing us on a regular basis in the Bistro and you will be our only choice for our catering needs regardless of how many we are entertaining. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so very much for everything you did for us. You are our shining stars!"
